My sketchbooks are a place where my creative intuition takes over. Without expectations of a defined result, I move about each page freely, building elements to form compositions.
Working primarily with watercolor and mixed media has taught me to get comfortable with surprises (something watercolor is relentlessly known for) and opened me up to a process of discovery.
A work in progress – embracing the feeling of creating simply because it feels good is at the center of my sketchbook practice. I highly recommend you try it too.
