The 100 Day Project is a global project where artists commit to a self initiated project for 100 days and share their progress online.
This is my second time completing a 100 day project where I painted 100 small watercolor compositions measuring 2.5"x3.5" each. This time around, I started introducing dry media (wax pastels and colored pencils) accents.
See my previous project completed in 2021 here.
Day 100: JUNE 2, 2023 - Project Summary
Look at all the little babies - all 100 of them! This was fun and I’m also very happy to be finished. I learned plenty from this challenge. Like how I’m impatient and almost never like the results when I actually plan a composition. Or how much it improves my day to take a bit of time to disconnect from whatever is pulling at me and be in the moment with some paper and watercolor. Or how much I enjoy the sound of my brush dunking into a jar of water. I also narrowed down which techniques I enjoy the most and introduced some dry media into the mix (Neocolors are so cool!).
The result —
Stay curious.
